Research and Discovery
Pre-production is where everything is defined. From sourcing locations or building sets, or using AI for clear storyboarding, to casting the perfect talent, I am involved in the process from the beginning. Which means I work in tandem with amazing producers to help curate the project from the ground up.
Chill precision
A chill set makes for better creative. When the room feels steady, people take smarter risks, ideas evolve and performances improve. I often shoot stills and motion simultaneously, allowing us to fully leverage the environment, lighting, and talent. While minimizing downtime and maintaining creative consistency across all assets. We light and style the space with the help of a strong art department, so rooms are flexible and we don’t waste time relighting every shot.
I have extensive experience shooting on location and designing a set. Both can be transformed into the clients dream space. Set design requires detailed communication and a strong art department. We translate the scene from a controlled set into a believable place. When we build a set, we control light direction, color contamination, depth, spacing, and reset speed. That control keeps framing consistent and protects the schedule. Plus building a scene is alot of fun!
